Black Male Media Project

Charlotte Area Association of Black Journalists (CAABJ) is participating in this nationwide effort led by The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) to empower black males in newsrooms everywhere and help provide a more accurate image of black males covered in the news.
On June 10th, chapters across the country will hold programs to inform and connect black men with the resources they need to establish and enhance their careers in journalism.
We are delighted to have Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, Glenn Proctor leading our program. He is has organized a group of veterans journalists who will lead open discussions about developing the tools necessary to succeed in the media, building a support team to ensure continued growth, and establishing lasting relationships with mentor emerging journalists.
